Measuring Your Frenchie For Size

Measuring your frenchie for size before placing any clothing order is important.

We know it's not always the easiest -- after all, french bulldogs are known for their stubbornness -- but it helps ensure that the size of the clothing you choose will actually fit your pup the first time around. There's nothing worse than getting your item in the mail and, after all the excitement of opening the package, realizing that the clothes are either way too tight or far too large to work. While clothing for your frenchie can be a nice way to keep them warm, cozy and protected, there's nothing more important than making sure your frenchie is comfortable and that starts with choosing the right size.

To accurately select a size, we strongly recommend taking 3 simple measurements for the back length, chest (girth) and neck as follows.

Note, we always recommend adding ~1" (3cm) to your dog's measurements to ensure clothing is not too tight.

While all measurements are important, when looking at the sizing charts you should pay particular attention to the following based on the specific type of product you're evaluating:

If you're between sizes, we always recommend ordering the larger size to ensure that the clothing isn't too tight as it's typically better for it to be slightly looser than uncomfortably snug.
